Downsizing, cleared in one visit

Moving to something smaller means a lot of furniture has nowhere to go. We take the surplus in a single appointment — carried out from wherever it stands, loaded and disposed of — at a flat price agreed before we set off. You do not move anything to the kerb and you do not lift a thing.

What it costs

Whole rooms and whole houses price on the smallest truck share that holds the load, with the crew, the carry, the loading and the disposal all inside the figure.

The Raleigh minimum booking is $75, so a single wardrobe or one recliner is a perfectly ordinary job.

A worked living-and-dining clear

Sofa $126, loveseat $119, coffee table $67, a six-to-eight-seat dining table $163 and a large area rug $68 comes to $480 itemised. As one load it is the 6 cubic yard share at $338, and we quote the lower of the two — which is why whole-room clears are worth pricing as a load.

The heavy pieces have published prices too

An upright piano is $364, a large safe $203, a hot tub $390 and a pool table $603 — the awkward items that usually stall a downsize. All of them are ordinary bookings, all carried out by the crew, all with the disposal inside the figure.

A two-storey house costs the same as a ranch

Floor level, stair count, carry distance and the length of the driveway are all zero in our pricing. Bringing a dresser down from an upstairs bedroom prices exactly the same as taking one out of a ground-floor den, so the shape of the house never changes the quote.

One price across the Triangle

Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Durham, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Garner, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina and Knightdale all price identically. The neighbourhood does not move the figure, and neither does the distance from the middle of town.

Short notice costs nothing extra

If a closing date has moved or the new place is ready sooner than expected, a same-day or next-day slot costs exactly what a booking three weeks out costs. No rush fee, no weekend rate, no short-notice surcharge.

Nobody comes to look at the house first

You describe the rooms, or send a few photographs, and a written total comes back in about a minute. There is no survey appointment to sit in for, and no one walking through the house before you have decided anything.

Do it in one visit or spread it out

Some people clear everything in a single appointment before a move. Others book a load now for the obvious surplus and a second closer to the date, once the family has been through what they want. Both work, both price off the same published ladder, and there is no call-out charge either way.

We take only what you point at

Anything being kept simply needs naming or moving into one room. The crew works to your list, and if a relative is on their way to collect something, tell us and it stays exactly where it is.

If a piece might be worth selling

An auction house, a consignment shop or a family member can take those first; we clear whatever is left afterwards, on a date that suits. Most people find the deciding is the slow part and the clearance is the fast part.

Condition never changes the price

Worn arms, water rings, a wobbly leg, forty years of loyal service — all priced the same as pristine, because we price the space a piece takes on the truck. Nothing needs cleaning or repairing before we arrive.

Where we collect

Across Raleigh, Wake County and the wider Triangle at identical published prices. If the move is out of an apartment, our move-out page covers that; for a whole property being cleared, see the estate clearance page.

The exercise equipment nobody wants to move

Downsizes turn up a lot of it, and it is all published: a treadmill $115, an elliptical $97, a home gym $143, a stationary bike $72, a Peloton $80 and a weight set $74. The crew carries it out, including from a basement or an upstairs room, and there is nothing to take apart first. More detail is on our exercise equipment page.

Booking takes about a minute

Describe the rooms in plain English — "a living room, a dining set, and the contents of the garage" — and a written total comes straight back. Pick a slot and the job leaves your list. No survey appointment, no waiting in, and no number that changes once you have approved it.
