Moving out of a Raleigh apartment: the furniture cleared in one visit

The deadline is the whole problem

Nobody schedules a move-out clearance because they want one. They book it because the keys go back on a fixed date and there is still a sofa in the living room. The good news is that this is a one-visit job with a published price: we come to your apartment, carry everything down, load it and take it away, for a flat figure agreed before we set off.

The whole apartment goes in one visit

Not the pieces you got round to. Everything — the sofa, the mattress, the dining set nobody wants, the desk, the shelving, the bags from the wardrobe and the boxes you never opened after the last move. It is priced on the smallest truck share that holds the lot, so a long list does not mean a long day.

The minimum booking in Raleigh is $75.

Third floor, no lift, no extra charge

This is the one that catches people out elsewhere, and it is worth being blunt about: we do not charge for stairs. A third-floor walk-up costs exactly what a ground-floor unit costs. Floor level, stair count, carry distance to the truck, and how far the loading bay is from your door are all zero in our pricing. The crew does the carrying and the number does not move.

If it is four or five things rather than a whole flat, pick them off the list and the total is the sum.

The mattress and box spring go together

A queen mattress on its own is $103. The mattress and box spring as a set is $143, which is the usual booking — they leave together and they price together. Nothing needs bagging, wrapping or preparing beforehand.

The sofa is the piece that decides most move-outs

It is heavy, it does not fit the new place, and it is the reason people call. $126 for a standard sofa, $149 for a sleeper, $185 for a three-piece sectional, carried down from wherever it sits. Our couch removal page covers every variant.

The price is fixed before we set off

You describe the apartment, you get a total, and that total is what you pay on the day. Nothing is renegotiated once the crew is standing in your hallway. If you add a piece at the last minute it comes off the same published list, the revised total goes to your phone, and it only goes on the truck once you have said yes.

Same-day and next-day, at no premium

Move-out weeks run late. If the keys go back tomorrow and the bedroom is still full, a same-day slot costs exactly what a booking three weeks out costs — no rush fee, no weekend rate, no short-notice surcharge. That is the single most useful thing about our pricing on a deadline.

Book it around the movers, not against them

Two orders work. Clear the discards first and let the movers handle a smaller, cleaner load; or let the movers take what is going and book us for the same afternoon to clear what is left. Either way it is one appointment on your side, and the second version means you never have to decide twice about a piece.

Roommates splitting a place

One booking, one flat price, split however you like. A truck share covers the whole load regardless of whose bedroom it came out of, which is cheaper than three separate visits and much easier to settle up on.

Moving out of state

The further the move, the more sense it makes to leave the bulky pieces behind rather than pay to transport them. Clearing a one-bedroom on the 10 cubic yard share is $513, in one visit, with the disposal already inside it.

Condition never changes the price

Stained, sagging, wobbly, water-marked, assembled once and never quite square again — all the same price as pristine. We price the space a piece takes on the truck, not what it might have fetched. There is nothing to clean, repair or apologise for.

You do not carry anything

Nothing needs to be moved to the kerb, the corridor or the loading bay first. The crew works from wherever the item is standing, including a bedroom on the top floor. Point at what is going and get on with the rest of your move.
